Excellent, original and inspired conversions for your miniatures!
They aren't all perfect; every miniature has something you'd like done differently! Maybe that hero miniature has a sword where you'd prefer an axe - we can make it happen. Maybe you've got a few figures whose poses leave something to be desired - we can do that, too. Maybe you want a far more elaborate conversion, draping an otherwise unadorned shaman figure with the bones and detritus of defeated foes. Any conversion you can imagine, we'll give it a go! Nothing says 'My Army!' like a big sign hammered into the lawn next to the army. A close second, though, is a bunch of converted miniatures to really personalise your wargame figures. It need not be a simple conversion, either; why stop at one figure?
Take a look at our showcase army, the Lustrian Alliance. Spider-mounted Skinks as pistoliers? Against all the laws of man and god, yes, but not technically against the rules. Excellent.
So, we've made our pitch and if you're still reading you probably have some questions. High up on the list is undoubtedly 'shut up! get to the point!'

Warhammer 40k Imperial Guard
SHOWCASE: Skink Spider Rider
a miniature conversion
Gaming Standard
The Skink 'Spider Rider'
Skinks are Awesome. Spider Riders are awesome. The only thing more awesome is a spider ridden by a Skink. Give him a pair of pistols and a bad attitude and you have the Lustrian Empire's first Outrider.
Both skink and spider were reposed and the skink's weapons were replaced with a pistol and repeater pistol.
Okay, so this probably demands an explanation. Unfortunately, all the offending designer will say is 'I did it to see if I could do it.' Fair enough, the result is certainly spectacular. As you can imagine, a miniature conversion like this is something you'll likely never come across again, something utterly unique which will give its army a fantastic personality.
With a conversion price of only £2.00 it's an extremely affordable way to grant your wargame army that personality, too. Treated to a Gaming Standard painting and finished with a very simple base, this miniature's painting + conversion + basing weighed in at a paltry £4.65. Thats £2.00 conversion, £0.15 basing and £2.50 painting. (price of parts used not included)
Once you've had a look and know we're worth your time, your next question is probably 'okay, but I don't want a skink riding a spider! Tell me what it costs to get what I want!' Okay, not a question, but a valid point.
Pricing for miniature conversions
Miniature conversions are tricky things, no two ever the same. While it may be just a few minutes' work to repose one miniature's arm, the same conversion of another miniature could take ten times as long. We can offer some very general guideline prices to give you an idea.
- Standard 28mm infantry weapon replacement: £0.10 per weapon. (Mounted figures included)
- Larger miniatures (IE Trolls, Ogres): £0.20 per weapon.
- Replacing heads: £0.20 per head. (Dependant on complexity. Helmets are generally simpler, while hair is more difficult.)
- Standard 28mm miniature re-posing: (minor) £0.50 per miniature, (major) £1.00 per miniature, (total) £2.00 per miniature. (this includes cavalry and monsters, though a mount and its rider would incur the cost of two miniatures)
For an accurate price we need to know what miniatures and what kind of conversion, and the best way to tell us that is with the contact form at the bottom of this page. If you're also interested in our painting service, you can mention your conversion ideas when using our pricing list, and a designer will contact you to discuss the conversion project in depth!
On to how it all works
- Step one: Let us know you're interested in conversion work. Either contact us with the form at the bottom of this page or use the painting pricing form if you're also using our painting service.
- Step two: A designer will get in touch via email to discuss the miniature conversion project.
- Step three: A price will be quoted. If parts need be purchased they will be sourced as cheaply as possible, as per our purchasing service. If you happen to have the required parts, we're happy to use those!
- Step four: Funds are paid on a 50% upfront and 50% on completion basis. Funds for any components that need be purchased are paid up front in full. Once payment is received we will purchase neccessary components and update you on estimated arrival and completion dates.
- Step five: The conversion work begins.
- Step six: Photographs of the completed work are sent for approval before the miniatures are passed on to the painters (assuming the project also includes painting. It does not need to.) If appropriate, photographs may be sent partway through the conversion to double check the project is progressing to your satisfaction.
Payment for conversion is collected 50% up front as a deposit for materials etc. The remainder is collected after the conversion is completed and approved, prior to posting them back to you or passing on to the painting service.
Postage
We send your miniatures back via Royal Mail special delivery if the value is greater than £45. This method of postage offers up to £500 insurance and allows you to track the parcel to your door. If the value of the parcel is below £45 we send them standard parcel delivery. The cost of this is dependant on the weight of the miniatures. If you supply the weight of the miniatures before sending them to us, we can calculate the return postage beforehand. Otherwise we'll calculate as soon as possible.
Note: On particularly heavy orders (weighing 10kg or over), we may instead use a courier delivery. (This will be decided on a cost efficiency basis.)
